C-battery has been nominated for Deloitte’s 2026 Technology Fast 50
Oudenaarde, 29/09/2026 – C-battery has been nominated for Deloitte’s 2026 Technology Fast 50 competition for technology companies headquartered and founded in Belgium. The Fast 50 award will be given to the country’s fastest-growing technology company based on its percentage of growth during the last four years. The winning companies will be announced during the Awards Ceremony on 22 October 2026.

C-battery has grown quickly since it started in 2021. The company builds battery storage systems that help businesses store and manage their own energy, and the demand for these systems has risen steadily. That growth earned the company a nomination for the Technology Fast 50.
C-battery grew out of the world of electric motorbikes, where the challenge was engineering small, compact batteries capable of delivering instantaneous power. In 2021, the Cordeel Group saw the potential of the technology for the wider energy market and backed the vision to start a dedicated battery company, which became C-battery. The first application was close to home, with batteries that supplied power on the construction sites of the building group.
In five years, that start has grown into an independent Belgian battery manufacturer. The company has installed more than a hundred batteries in the field, including over 15 MWh of projects in 2026 so far, and kept growing its team. A capital round of 10 million euro in 2025 now supports the further growth of its ‘made in Belgium’ batteries and the expansion to the Netherlands.
“Our strategy and continuous growth over the past few years have strengthened our position in the market. We consider this nomination a confirmation that we are heading in the right direction and a great recognition of our achievements so far.” – Bjorn Robbens, CEO of C-battery
