Client case: Interparking gets EV charging infrastructure without grid reinforcement

Interparking wanted to install charging points in their Dinant parking facility, but ran into insufficient grid capacity. C-battery provided the solution: by integrating smart battery storage, what looked like a dead end became an operational success.
Limited grid connection
As a parking operator, Interparking wanted to offer customers the ability to charge their vehicles on-site. The plan: six charging points (three dual AC charging stations) at their new location in Dinant.
Charging stations don't run constantly, but when a car plugs in, the power demand spikes. And that was exactly the problem: couldn't deliver that peak demand, and upgrading it wasn't a realistic option. A grid reinforcement would have meant a major investment and a wait of months, possibly years.
Mobile BESS as a microgrid
C-battery recommended a 10-foot mobile battery container. It acts as a local microgrid - essentially a small-scale power network that can store, distribute, and recharge energy.
The battery connects to the grid and trickle-charges continuously. The built-in inverter ensures the battery can always deliver enough power to run the charging infrastructure, while the Energy Management System (EMS) keeps supply and demand in balance at all times.
"For our Dinant site, C-battery immediately stood out to us: a Belgian, high-quality BESS manufacturer that allows us to roll out our charging infrastructure further. Thanks to their mobile container, we'll soon be able to offer six charging points, without depending on lengthy grid reinforcements."

From Oudenaarde to Dinant
At C-battery, local production is one of our key strengths. After assembly and testing in Oudenaarde, the battery container simply needed to be transported to Dinant. Despite its impressive specs - 5,750 kg and over 3 metres long - the logistics went smoothly. With years of experience in transport and lifting operations, we were able to deliver the container plug-and-play.
