Compact yet powerful: More than 1MWh in a 10-Foot Container

The market demand for flexible, scalable, and above all compact energy storage solutions is growing at a rapid pace. At C-battery, we consider this not a challenge, but an opportunity to innovate. That mindset has allowed our latest development: a 10-foot container with an energy storage capacity of more than 1 megawatt-hour (MWh) and an adjustable power output of up to 500 kW, scalable in steps of 20 kW. Not only easy to transport and install, but also highly versatile across a wide range of market segments. In addition, the container is equipped with a series of advanced and user-friendly features that enhance its unique value.

A prime example of this approach is the development of our latest 10-foot container. In sectors such as EV charging, retail, SMEs, and industry, available space is becoming increasingly scarce, while the demand for powerful energy storage continues to rise. Every square meter counts, creating the need for solutions that combine maximum energy density with a minimal footprint.


Our existing 20-foot containers already delivered strong performance. But for certain applications, they proved to be too large. Responding to this market demand, we developed a new battery architecture resulting in a compact yet powerful 10-foot battery container with a maximum storage capacity of more than 1 megawatt-hour.


The development of this innovative platform began with the careful selection of battery cells, followed by our R&D team’s in-depth research into packaging, mechanics, and cooling.

As with all our solutions, the process concluded with the integration of the Energy Management System (EMS).


The end result? A fully integrated all-in-one solution, built with components and a range of innovative technologies sourced from an almost entirely European supply chain.


Among its key features are a built-in bidirectional inverter, liquid cooling for optimal temperature control, customizable branding options, and next-generation battery cells with extended lifespan — all of which enhance performance and user convenience.

Moreover, thanks to integrated galvanic isolation, no additional transformer is required, simplifying installation and saving both space and cost.


Of course, our hunger for innovation does not stop here. The demand for higher energy density continues to grow, and the potential of intelligent battery solutions is becoming increasingly tangible.
